Termination Guide for AFBR-452xZ
Connectors can be easily installed at the cable end using standard tools such as wire strippers and cutters. The cable finishing process is accomplished using the Broadcom AFBR-4594Z polishing kit. This kit includes a three-hole polishing fixture, 600-grit sandpaper, and a 3-micron pink backing film. The connector is ready to use immediately after polishing. Plastic fiber optic terminations require the following materials:
1. Plastic fiber optic cable (Example: HFBR-EUD500Z)
2. Wire cutters or scissors
3. 16-gauge wire stripper (Example: ldealStripmaster model 45-092)
4. AFBR-4594Z polishing kit
5. AFBR-452XZ duplex connector
