PLC splitters play a crucial role in optical signal distribution in PON (Passive Optical Networks), widely used in FTTX, LAN(Local Area Networks), CATV(Cable TV), Data Center, and more applications.
· Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) & Passive Optical Networks (PON): The most common application. PLC splitters are placed in Optical Distribution Networks (ODN) to divide the signal from the Internet Service Provider's (ISP) central office into multiple fibers, allowing a single optical line to serve 32 to 64 homes.
