
PMMA POF plastic fiber optic cable
Plastic Optical Fiber Cable with PE buffer and reinforced PUR outer sheath for use in industrial environments. They are designed for optical signal transmission in dry rooms under high mechanical stress and rough environmental impact. The cables are suitable for direct connector assembly.
Structure
Product Structure & Materials

· Core Material: High-purity Polymethyl Methacrylate (PMMA) , typically available in 1.0mm standard diameter, with custom diameters supported. This provides excellent optical transparency and efficient light transmission in the visible and near-infrared spectrum.
· Cladding Material: Fluorinated polymer, creating the step-index refractive profile essential for guiding light through the core with minimal dispersion.
· Outer Jacket: Available in PE (Polyethylene) or flame-retardant PVC, offering a balance of mechanical protection, environmental resistance, flexibility, and durability. Custom jacket colors including black, gray, blue, orange, and clear are available upon request.
· Fiber Type: Step-Index Plastic Optical Fiber (SI-POF).
